I was born in
Zaporizhzhia (Ukraine) on February 23, 1965.
After graduating from the
Zaporizhzhia Machine-Building Institute in 1989 as an electrical engineer, `I entered the
Tallinn School of Managers by competition.
After that, I began to work at the Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Youth "VEDA" in Zaporizhzhia as the head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations.
In 1992, I founded my diversified commercial company, "KRUK".
In 1993, I was invited to the post of economic director of the
Union of Russian Cities (Moscow). In the same year, as CEO, I initiated and headed the creation of the City Economy Development Center JSC
, which was established by 26 representatives of municipalities from Vladivostok to Kaliningrad.
In 1995, I emigrated to Canada, where my partners and I created the telecommunications company CellTel International (New York), a pioneer of IP telephony.
In 2003, at the invitation of the
Minister of Economy of the Russian Federation, I returned to Moscow to the post of General Director of the Trade and Investment Development Agency under the
Ministry of Economy. The Agency's task was to assist foreign investors in facilitating their entry into the Russian market.
In 2005, I headed the
Management Company "Dynamo"—the central Council of Dynamo, a public-state physical culture and sports organization. The Management Company's task was to optimize the commercial activities of 72 regional branches of the Dynamo organization, more than 35 industrial enterprises, 73 stadiums, and many real estate objects in different parts of the country.
In 2009, I was appointed Development Advisor to the General Director of
Sberbank Capital.
In 2010, I resigned of my own free will.
Received Ph.D. in sociology (2010 Moscow State University).
In 2011, in partnership with a professor of biochemistry Yuri Vengerov, I initiated, founded, and headed the
Tatakoto LTD (Cyprus) in clinical laboratory diagnostics.
Israel's E&Y has recognized the medical startup as a
revolution in healthcare. In 2015, the VC fund
Kinetik VC (
Arrival,
Roborace) bought 70 percent of Tatakoto and committed to developing the project in an agreed strategy. However, in 2016,
Denis Sverdlov unexpectedly stopped funding
Tatakoto, explaining the workload in connection with other projects.
Since 2015, I have focused all my attention on philanthropy and social innovation to solve the problem of trust - the main obstacle to decentralized online communities.
In 2020, I defined
digital social innovation ExodusThe concept describes a method and tools for self-organization in a decentralized social network of trust.
The emergence of such a network creates qualitatively different conditions for social security and direct cooperation, which in turn create the preconditions for the emergence of a different social order based on mutual assistance and mutual consent.
Social club Exodus is a virtual community that develops this approach.
In 2019, since the beginning of the pandemic, I initiated the creation of the
Exodus (Montenegro) charitable foundation, founded by Professor
Petar Cukovic. The foundation aims to promote creative initiatives and direct targeted support to all who teach, heal, and create intangible values. During a pandemic,
the foundation gives grants to talented children, an
art residence for artists, an
art residence for musicians Exodus Creative Lab, a
shelter for 35 cats, an
art dance residence, free psychotherapy, and a support program for agricultural producers.
After the outbreak of the war on February 24, the Exodus charity foundation began to receive refugees - both from Ukraine and from Russia - providing assistance with accommodation and adaptation. Today, we have 20 adults and 13 children.
